Welcome players and parents to the 2011 season of initiation baseball. This division, for children born 2004 & 2005 (6 & 7 years old), is intended to introduce our players (and coaches) of the future, to the basic fundamentals of baseball.
Although the game of baseball requires a great deal of skill, athleticism, determination and knowledge to play at the senior level it can be somewhat tedious when starting out. The Tee Ball program was designed to provide coaches and parents with a complete set of tools to keep the sessions moving and work towards specific goals and rewards.
When you register please don’t forget to indicate if you are interested or even curious about helping to coach. We are always looking for coaches and no prior experience is necessary. Your enthusiasm is contagious and an essential element for creating a fun environment for all. A coaches meeting will be scheduled in early April to meet everyone, outline the program discuss schedules, teams etc.
Be sure to have a look at the information provided in your registration package for the free clinic, hosted by the Parksville Royals and sponsored by CRMBA.
You can help out and ensure our success in many ways. Volunteering is essential to a successful season. Key areas that you can volunteer include coaching, working in the concession, scorekeeping as well as prepping the fields before and after each game. Have your volunteer cheque returned to you by helping out where and when you can.
