Midget Division 2011
Welcome players and parents to the 2011 season of Midget baseball. This division is for players born 1995 - 1993 (15 - 18 years old). We will also be offering the opportunity for players born in 1992 to play this year.
All players can expect to have a fun and competitive season at Nunn's Creek Park this season. Weather permitting, we would like to have open scrub games and practices before the season starts so we can get everyone's arms warmed up.
As many parents in the Midget division already know, emphasis is always placed on volunteering. You can help out and ensure our success in many ways. Volunteering is essential to a successful season. Key areas you can volunteer include coaching, working in the concession, scorekeeping as well as prepping the fields before and after each game. Have your volunteer cheque returned to you by helping out where and when you can.
Our regular season, including the round robin playoff and championship games will conclude by the end of June. We would really like to see an All Star season this year. Please indicate your interest on the registration form. We will be taking applications for coaches to lead the All Star team immediately so that we can be in a position to start tryouts in May. Please contact me for details regarding coaching. More information on CRMBA All Star tryouts will be available later in the season.
As many of you realize I am very heavily involved with this wonderful organization so if you want to assist me with this division, please let me know. A coaches meeting will be scheduled in late March to meet everyone, outline the program and discuss schedules and teams. Please let me know if you are interested in coaching by indicating so on the registration form.
