PARENTS & TYKES
The main goal of the program is to introduce basic baseball fundamentals. We will create a very positive and supportive environment where your son or daughter will, most importantly, have fun. This will be a great chance to spend some quality time with your child enjoying a variety of activities based around baseball fundamentals.
• The season will begin on May 5th and runs through to June 16th – 6 practices total. We will use June 23rd as a rain out day if needed.
• We will not be playing on May Long weekend – May 19th • All practices are on Saturday’s at Nunns Creek Park, on the Midget field and will run from 9:30am to 10:15am • Players should bring water, running shoes (cleats if desired), a glove and a bat to each practice. I recommend you bring a bat that your child can easily swing, a plastic bat is accepted. There will be some bats available for use if you don’t have one.
• Players will be divided into groups of 6 and will rotate through 5-6 stations each week.
• You will have to be on the field helping your child with the drills. You will rotate stations with your child’s group.
Looking forward to getting started May 5th.

ATTENTION TYKES PARENTS:
*NEW START DATE FOR TYKES is SATURDAY, APRIL 29th @ 9:30am***
Due to several issues beyond our control, we have set a new start date for Tykes ball. Please pass the word! Info will also be posted on our website at www.crmba.ca We thank you for your patience as we have worked diligently to get this program off the ground for the 2017 season.
Info from division manager as follows:
Welcome! Your child has been signed up for Tykes baseball. Below you will find some basic information about the upcoming season.
I will be the league manager and coach this year and am looking forward to the season. The main goal of the program is to introduce basic baseball fundamentals. We will create a very positive and supportive environment where your son or daughter will, most importantly, have fun.
-The season will begin on April 29th and runs through to June 24th – 8 practices total.
-We will not be playing on May Long weekend – May 20th
-All practices are on Saturday’s at Nunns Creek Park, on the Midget field and will run from 9:30am to 10:15am
-Players should bring water, running shoes (cleats if desired), a glove and a bat to each practice. I recommend you bring a bat that your child can easily swing, a plastic bat is accepted. There will be some bats available for use if you don’t have one.
-Please email me if you know ahead of time that your child is going to miss a practice.
-Players will be divided into groups of 6 and will rotate through 5-6 stations each week.
-Ideally we would like one parent per kid to be on the field helping your child with the drills. Parents will rotate stations with their child’s group.
-We will try to make groups so your child is familiar with the other kids and adults in the group.
-Family members who are there to watch please watch from outside the fence. All the stations will be along the fence so families can easily follow their group. We found last year when there were large amounts of spectators on the field it was overwhelming for some the little guys ones and they ended up leaving.
-I will be at the pee wee field Monday, April 24th from 5:30-6:00 pm if you could come get your child’s t-shirt and hat. Their group of six will be determined by the color of their shirt. If you have connections to other children and you would like to be with them on a team, please make sure they get the same color t shirt on Monday. You can also just send one parent to grab shirts for a few players.
Looking forward to getting started on the 29th.
If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.
Coach Ryan Chenard
